What We Treat in Tulsa
Neurotoxin injections are among the most versatile aesthetic treatments available — addressing dynamic wrinkles with precision and preserving natural expression.
Forehead Lines
Horizontal forehead lines caused by repetitive muscle movement are softened with precise neurotoxin placement.
Glabellar Lines (11s)
The vertical lines between the brows that create a tired or angry appearance respond well to targeted neurotoxin treatment.
Crow's Feet
Fine lines at the outer corners of the eyes are smoothed with careful dosing that preserves natural expression.
Brow Lift
Strategic neurotoxin placement can create a subtle brow lift, opening the eye area without surgery.
Lip Lines & Lip Flip
Perioral lines and a subtle lip flip to enhance the upper lip border without filler.
Preventative Treatment
Early neurotoxin use slows the formation of deeper static lines by limiting repetitive muscle movement over time.

View Membership PlansPrecision Over Diffusion
At 86INK, neurotoxin selection is based on molecular precision, predictability, and long-term results — not trends. We offer Xeomin® and Jeuveau™ because their molecular profiles support controlled, refined placement.
Xeomin®
incobotulinumtoxinA
Precision & Purity
Mol. Weight
~150 kDa (active core only)
Accessory Proteins
None — all accessory proteins removed via proprietary purification
Molecular Structure
Pure 150 kDa botulinum toxin type A: heavy chain (HC) + light chain (LC) linked by a disulfide bond. No complexing hemagglutinins or NTNH proteins.
Diffusion
Controlled, localized
Onset
3–5 days
Duration
3–4 months
Antibody Risk
Lowest risk — fewest foreign epitopes for antibody formation
Clinical Rationale
No accessory proteins means the immune system encounters fewer foreign antigens per treatment. For regular maintenance patients, this significantly lowers the theoretical risk of neutralizing antibody formation that can reduce long-term efficacy.
Jeuveau™
prabotulinumtoxinA
Aesthetic Performance
Mol. Weight
~900 kDa (complex)
Accessory Proteins
Hemagglutinin + NTNH accessory proteins; Hi-Pure™ manufacturing process
Molecular Structure
900 kDa complex of the 150 kDa active toxin bound to hemagglutinin and non-toxic non-hemagglutinin (NTNH) proteins. Engineered exclusively for cosmetic application from inception.
Diffusion
Controlled, moderate spread
Onset
2–5 days
Duration
3–4 months
Antibody Risk
Low — cosmetic-optimized dosing reduces antibody exposure
Clinical Rationale
The only neurotoxin developed exclusively for cosmetic use from the start — not adapted from a therapeutic product. Hi-Pure™ manufacturing delivers consistent aesthetic results with a formulation profile matched to precise, lower-dose facial injections.
Dysport
abobotulinumtoxinA
Broader Diffusion
Mol. Weight
~300–900 kDa (variable)
Accessory Proteins
Hemagglutinin accessory proteins; smaller complex than Botox but higher diffusion coefficient
Molecular Structure
Variable molecular complex (300–900 kDa) of the 150 kDa active toxin with hemagglutinin accessory proteins. Smaller complex size relative to onabotulinumtoxinA contributes to its characteristically wider diffusion radius.
Diffusion
Wide — spreads 2–3× further than Xeomin or Jeuveau
Onset
1–3 days (fastest)
Duration
3–4 months
Antibody Risk
Moderate — diffusion variability complicates dosing consistency
Clinical Rationale
Wider diffusion can benefit large flat muscle groups. However, in areas requiring precise anatomical targeting — crow's feet, glabellar lines, perioral — that same spread reduces control and increases risk of unintended muscle relaxation.
Botox®
onabotulinumtoxinA
The Original Standard
Mol. Weight
~900 kDa (complex)
Accessory Proteins
Hemagglutinin + NTNH accessory proteins; highest accessory protein load of the four
Molecular Structure
900 kDa complex of the 150 kDa active toxin bound to hemagglutinin and NTNH accessory proteins. The original FDA-approved botulinum toxin type A; adapted from therapeutic use to cosmetic application.
Diffusion
Moderate — predictable spread, well-characterized
Onset
3–7 days (slowest)
Duration
3–4 months
Antibody Risk
Higher theoretical risk — highest accessory protein burden of the four; longest history of neutralizing antibody reports
Clinical Rationale
Botox® is the most studied neurotoxin in history and clinically effective. We simply believe Xeomin® and Jeuveau™ offer superior molecular profiles for the precision aesthetic work we do — lower antibody risk, cosmetic-optimized formulations, and equivalent results.
All four are FDA-approved and clinically effective. Our selection is based on molecular profile, diffusion characteristics, and the precision required for anatomy-specific facial placement.
Precision over diffusion. Consistency over trend.
Common Questions
Aftercare & Longevity
Detailed answers covering how long results last, what affects longevity, and exactly how to care for your skin after your appointment.
Treatment & Results
86INK offers Xeomin and Jeuveau neurotoxin injections that relax the muscles responsible for dynamic wrinkles including forehead lines, frown lines (11s), and crows feet. All treatments are performed by board-certified NP Leisha Lawson, FNP-C, using precision placement for natural, balanced results.
Xeomin is a purified neurotoxin containing only the active botulinum toxin type A without accessory proteins, which may reduce the risk of antibody resistance with long-term use. Jeuveau was developed exclusively for cosmetic use and is highly effective for moderate to severe expression lines. Leisha will recommend the best option based on your anatomy, treatment history, and goals.
You will begin to notice softening of lines within 2 to 5 days of your appointment. Full results develop within 10 to 14 days as the neurotoxin fully takes effect. If you feel the results are uneven or insufficient after 2 weeks, contact 86INK for a complimentary follow-up assessment.
Common treatment areas include forehead lines, glabellar lines (frown lines / 11s), and lateral canthal lines (crows feet). Leisha will assess your facial anatomy and muscle movement patterns during your consultation to create a customized treatment plan tailored to your goals.
Yes. Neurotoxins address dynamic wrinkles caused by muscle movement, while laser skin resurfacing, IPL, and microneedling improve skin tone, texture, and quality. Leisha will design an integrated treatment plan during your consultation to maximize your outcomes.
Longevity & Maintenance
Xeomin and Jeuveau results typically last 3 to 4 months. With consistent maintenance treatments, many patients find their results last progressively longer, sometimes 4 to 6 months, as the treated muscles gradually weaken from reduced use. Individual longevity varies based on metabolism, muscle mass, and the areas treated.
Several factors influence longevity: your metabolism (faster metabolizers may break down neurotoxin more quickly), muscle mass and strength in the treated area, sun exposure (UV damage accelerates skin aging and may reduce perceived results), lifestyle habits such as smoking, and how consistently you maintain your treatment schedule. Staying well-hydrated and using SPF daily helps preserve your results.
Most patients return every 3 to 4 months to maintain their results. Leisha will recommend a personalized maintenance schedule based on how your body responds to treatment. Staying on a consistent schedule rather than waiting until lines fully return can help extend the duration of each treatment over time.
No. If you choose to discontinue neurotoxin treatments, your muscles will gradually regain their full movement and expression lines will return to their pre-treatment appearance. Your skin will not look worse than before you started.
True resistance to neurotoxin is uncommon but possible with very frequent treatments. Xeomin purified formula (free of accessory proteins) may reduce this risk compared to some other neurotoxins. Leisha monitors your response over time and adjusts dosing and timing as needed to maintain consistent, natural results.
Aftercare
For the first 4 hours after treatment: avoid lying down flat, do not rub or massage the treated areas, and skip strenuous exercise. For the first 24 hours: avoid alcohol, saunas, hot tubs, steam rooms, and heat-generating activities. These precautions help prevent the neurotoxin from migrating to unintended muscle groups.
Avoid applying makeup for at least 4 hours after your appointment to minimize pressure on the injection sites and reduce the risk of introducing bacteria. After that window, you may apply makeup gently, avoiding pressing or rubbing the treated areas for the remainder of the day.
Mild redness, swelling, or bruising at the injection sites is normal and typically resolves within a few hours to 1 to 2 days. Applying a cold pack gently to the area can help reduce swelling. Arnica gel or supplements may help minimize bruising. If you experience significant swelling, asymmetry, or drooping that persists beyond 2 weeks, contact 86INK promptly.
Wait at least 24 hours before resuming vigorous exercise. Increased blood flow and body temperature from exercise can cause the neurotoxin to disperse more widely than intended. Light walking is fine immediately after your appointment.
For the first 24 hours, avoid retinoids, exfoliating acids (AHAs/BHAs), and abrasive scrubs on the treated areas. Gentle cleansing and a fragrance-free moisturizer are fine. After 24 hours, you may resume your normal skincare routine. Always apply broad-spectrum SPF 30+ daily to protect your results and overall skin health.
Contact 86INK for a complimentary 2-week follow-up assessment. It is important to wait the full 2 weeks before evaluating your results, as the neurotoxin continues to take effect during this period. If a touch-up is needed, Leisha will address any asymmetry or areas that need additional treatment at that visit.

Book a Free ConsultationThe Ideal Candidate
Xeomin® and Jeuveau™ are precision tools. They perform best in the right clinical context — here is how we assess candidacy at 86INK.
Well-Suited Candidates
Dynamic wrinkle concerns
Forehead lines, glabellar ‘11s,” and crow’s feet caused by repetitive muscle movement are the primary targets. Neurotoxins address the muscular origin of these lines, not surface texture.
Preventative patients in their late 20s–30s
Early treatment at lower doses can slow the formation of deeper static lines by reducing the repetitive muscle contractions that etch them over time.
Patients seeking natural expression
Xeomin® and Jeuveau™ allow for precise, anatomy-specific dosing. Patients who want softened lines without a frozen or overdone appearance are ideal candidates.
Maintenance-oriented patients
Results last 3–4 months. Patients committed to consistent treatment cycles achieve the most stable, natural-looking outcomes over time.
Patients with prior neurotoxin history
Those who have received Botox® or Dysport and are seeking a formulation with lower antibody resistance risk or a cosmetic-first molecular profile.

Check Eligibility →Clinical Considerations
Static lines & skin laxity
Lines present at rest (not caused by movement) and skin laxity are better addressed with dermal fillers, RF microneedling, or laser resurfacing. Neurotoxin alone will not correct these.
Pregnancy & breastfeeding
Neurotoxin is contraindicated during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Treatment should be deferred until after this period.
Neuromuscular disorders
Conditions such as myasthenia gravis, Lambert-Eaton syndrome, or ALS require careful evaluation. Neurotoxin may exacerbate neuromuscular junction dysfunction.
Unrealistic expectations
Neurotoxin softens dynamic lines; it does not eliminate all facial movement or reverse deep static wrinkles. A thorough consultation aligns expectations before treatment.
